One should honor one’s traditions and sources from time to time and just do a nice piece - right?  Here we have a decorative landscape done as an advertisement for a beachside place  - the north beach of South Haven.  January - bitter cold and the repetition of Snow Fence slats to set the rhythm of the piece.  What’s not to like - printed Chin-colle -   That means a thin slip of China or Japan paper is slipped between the plate and paper with some glue and one simultaneously laminates and prints the image.  All quite elegant and sort a chinoiserie effect reminiscent of Fin de siecle France - unashamedly elegant.
